Samah Ismail
VP of Operations and Technology

Samah Ismail is Vice President of Operations and Technology at Malaffi, having joining the organisation in 2019 to bring her expertise in strategy development, technology transformation and change management to help ensure the optimum delivery of healthcare technology operations in the UAE.

Prior to joining Malaffi, Samah had a managerial role at Accenture, where she was involved in the successful implementation of an array of project assignments. She successfully set up the IT Portfolio Management Office at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), delivering over 50 projects that included managing the implementation of the CCAD Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for 12 applications, establishing CCAD scrum processes and sprint planning for clinical applications and training 40 CCAD team members.

Samah defined a 20-year commercial model for Dubai HIE platform implementation under Etisalat Digital Healthcare, with roll-out approach and priority use cases, and managed the agile implementation of a cloud-based procurement system covering 63 entities. She also defined the organisational change management and training strategy at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) for an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) program adoption.

Before Accenture, Samah was with Deloitte UAE as a Consultant. Included among the projects she accomplished were the one-stop-shop model to deliver integrated government services under the UAE Prime Minister’s Office; the redesign of HR processes to overcome bulk recruitment hurdles and enhance employee experience; and the formulation of new vision, mission and strategic objectives for the UAE National Archive, Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council.

Samah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Communications Engineering and a minor in Business Administration from American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
