Shiraz Ahmad, the Vice President of Corporate Support, leverages his extensive experience in financial management, business leadership, consultation, and corporate strategy gained from his various positions in the UAE and Australia to oversee a portfolio of corporate services for Malaffi. Since joining Malaffi in 2018 as part of the core leadership team, Shiraz has played a pivotal role in the set up and operationalization of the company.
In his capacity as Vice President of Corporate Support, Shiraz is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial strategy, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, treasury and risk management, and compliance. Additionally, he is accountable for the development and execution of Malaffi's HR strategy, including talent acquisition and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement.
Prior to his current role, Shiraz served as Head of FP&A at Injazat Data Systems, where he provided investment advice to the company's management and led the strategic planning function. In this capacity, he developed and implemented strategies that enabled the company to achieve its long-term objectives. Additionally, Shiraz headed the Financial Planning and Analysis function of EY for the Oceania region, where he worked closely with the firm's management to achieve revenue and profitability growth in the region. Before joining EY, he worked as a consultant for Deloitte and KPMG.
Shiraz is a Certified Practising Accountant in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from La Trobe University, Melbourne.
